The dark mode option has become very popular with a lot of people, and Apple has included a toggle that allows you to switch between light and dark mode on the iPhone 13.
You can make this change manually at any time, or you can set the device to switch the theme based on the time of day.

How to put iPhone 13 in dark mode
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 13 running iOS 16.3.1. The same steps will work on other iPhone 13 models as well, including the following:
- iPhone 13 mini
- iPhone 13 Pro
- iPhone 13 Pro Max
Step 1: Find the Settings app icon on your device and tap on it to open the menu.
Step 2: Scroll down and select Display & Brightness option.
Step 3: Click on the button in the “Dark” section of the “Appearance” section of the list to turn it on.
Your screen should immediately switch to dark mode so you can decide if you prefer it to light mode.
You can disable dark mode on your iPhone 13 by going back to this menu and selecting the Light option instead.
You’ll notice that there’s also an Auto button below the section where you choose Dark Mode.
If you have Auto enabled, another Options button will appear.
If you select this, you can choose to switch the phone between light and dark mode based on the subset and sunrise time, or you can select the custom schedule option and choose when the phone will make this switch.
The final item related to dark mode on the iPhone 13 involves adding it to the Control Center.
You can open Control Center on iPhone 13 by swiping down from the top right corner of the screen. Here you will find a number of different settings and buttons that allow you to customize your device and use certain apps.
