There are a number of things you can do in the Messages app on your iPhone when sending text messages.

How to install the app for the iPhone Messages app
- open the messages.
- Open the iMessage conversation, then tap the App Store icon.
- Find an app to install.
- Click “Get” next to the app to install it.

iOS 10 update for iPhone There are a number of improvements to many of the default apps (such as forwarding text messages on the iPhone), but perhaps the most interesting aspect of this update is the Messages app. Messenger users on iPhone now have access to a number of different tools and features that can improve their messaging experience.
Most of these features are exclusive to iMessages, and one of the most exciting parts of the update has to do with iMessage apps. These are the apps (and games) that you can install on your iPhone directly through the Messages app. In the example below, we’ll install a game that you can then play via iMessage with one of your contacts.
How to install a new app or game to use in the Messages app on your iPhone
The steps in this guide were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 10.2. This feature is only available on iPhones with iOS 10 or later. If you can’t follow these steps or you don’t know which iOS is on your iPhone, you can check the iOS version on your iPhone.
Step 1: Open the Messages app.
Step 2: Open an existing text thread, then tap the A icon to the left of the message field.
Step 3: Tap on the network icon.
Step 4: Click on the + symbol.
Step 5: Select the app or game you want to install in iMessage.
Step 6: Click on the “Get” icon and then click on the “Install” button.
Please note that you may see a price instead of “Get it” if you are trying to install a paid app.
Step 7: Tap the A icon again to the left of the message box, then select the app you just installed to start or launch it.
