The steps in this article were completed on an Apple Watch using watchOS 4.2.3. This will change the behavior of your watch so that it sends dictated messages as an audio clip rather than a text version of what you said to the watch.

Step 1: Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Select the My Watch tab at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Scroll down and select the “Messages” option.
The fourth step: Click the Spelling Messages button.
Fifth step: Click on the sound option.
